Alexander Povetkin managed to scrap out a point’s victory against Marco Huck, to win by Majority Decision. It was a very tough fight for him, with Marco Huck looking the better fighter at times, but he stuck in there and use what strengths he had to win the fight. Anyway, today he will be fighter the old and washed up Hasim Rahman, in a mandatory bout.
Alexander Povetkin fights the old Hasim Rahman in his third title defence.
This fight starts off fairly quickly for both fighters, with Hasim Rahman taking the lead. Alexander Povetkin looks to stay back, but does engage with good punches of his own, exposes the obvious deficiencies of Rahman’s game. This looks like it could be a quick fight, but who knows; definitely worth a watch.
